Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interpretation of the principle of Belief in the One and Only God from the perspective of Pancasila and its implementation within the framework of a democratic rule of law in Indonesia. The research method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach through the examination of various sources such as books, scientific journals, and relevant official documents. The results indicate that the principle of Belief in the One and Only God not only has a theological dimension but also contains moral, ethical, and social values that serve as the foundation for national and state life. In the context of the rule of law and democracy, religious values play a role as the basis for the formation of just laws and the guarantee of religious freedom for all citizens. However, in practice, various problems still occur, such as intolerance, religious-based discrimination, and policies that have the potential to create injustice. Therefore, a more inclusive and contextual interpretation of this principle is needed in order to create a harmonious, just, and tolerant society within a democratic legal framework.
